Just LOOK at this gorgeous fall wedding at the Loft at Luna! Mike and Emily met in college while Mike was there playing football and Emily played volleyball. They wanted their wedding to feel joyful and easy, and they ended up throwing the most fun party for all of their people.
Mike waited by the huge windows in the Loft at Luna’s main space for Emily to appear for their first look – and this moment did not disappoint! You can just see that giddy joy radiating off the two of them. I’ve photographed quite a few first looks in my time, and they are always so special: but Mike and Emily took everything one step further. They actually shared their vows here, just the two of them, and they took communion together. I loved this idea of creating a private, holy moment before you go into all the crazy of a wedding day. It was pretty precious.
With the string lighting and exposed brick, the Loft at Luna was the perfect spot for the kind of industrial chic that Emily and Mike were going for. After their ceremony, this couple served up a taco bar and margaritas, which is one big YES from me! Their reception was one big, cool party – from the neon Mr and Mrs sign above them to the cocktail napkins personalized with a picture of their pooch.
At the end of the night, when it was time for me to go, I asked them if they wanted to head out into the streets around the Loft at Luna for some night pictures. Man, we got some fun ones! These ended up being some of my favorites from the whole day.
